Self Portrait Progress

This project is much more difficult than the artist copy, and as of now, less enjoyable. It's very challenging trying to recreate the photo using the style of the artist, especially because there's no clear way or guide on how to do it. I am hoping that the further I get into it the better it will go, but right now, it's definitely tough to do. I have enjoyed adding in the highlights and am pretty proud of how it looks so far, I'm just concerned on how the face and hair is going to do, because it's very different from the picture I copied for the previous project. Because my face is much bigger in the composition than the woman's in the artist copy, it's going to be even more difficult to do. But, I'm hopeful that by the time I get to the face, I will have gotten a good handle on the mark and how the portrait is supposed to look.
