Oil Painting Process 2

I would say that this project is off to a pretty strong start. Thus far, I have really enjoyed working with the oil paint; it is so much easier to blend than the acrylic paint that I used last year, and even though I've only done one pass with the grisaille underpainting it is already looking fairly realistic. The only concern I have right now is finishing on time, because it is a process that needs to be done with a lot of care and precision, and I don't want to rush it. I am really curious to see how the glazing works and how it will impact the final piece; my objects are either pretty dark or super bright with not a lot in between, and I think this will make for an interesting experience when doing the glazing. Even though they are very pretty and make for a more dynamic, I am currently wishing that my partner and I had not chosen to do pearls, because those are going to be incredibly complicated to paint. Overall, I am really having a good time doing this project and am excited to keep working on it.
