Figure Drawing

Figure drawing with Tommy was very helpful because he forced me to look at models and drawing in a different way than I was used to, and his teaching techniques really reinforce the importance of truly seeing what you're drawing. Capturing the entire movement of the pose was very important, but I think that as this experience went on I gravitated more towards drawing the faces of the models, something that I typically avoided in the past. Having this experience has made me want to work with real people and models more, because working with something that is actually 3-D is a much different experience than working with a photo as a reference. I hope to include many of Tommy's tricks and strategies into my own work when it comes to figures and portraits.
